Piedmont Custom Turf Farm was founded in 2009 by Billy Ray Sanders and his grandson, Cory Wingard, with a vision of transforming their family cattle farm into a premium turf farm dedicated to producing the highest quality Bermuda sod in Georgia.

What started as generations of raising cattle evolved into a new chapter rooted in the same values that built the family farm—hard work, honesty, and a commitment to doing things the right way. Together, Billy Ray and Cory recognized the growing demand for premium turfgrass and set out to build a business that customers could trust.

Over the years, that vision has grown into Piedmont Custom Turf Farm, a locally owned and operated farm specializing in premium Tifway 419 Bermuda. Every field is carefully managed from planting to harvest to ensure each pallet leaves the farm with healthy roots, outstanding color, and the quality our customers expect.

Today, Cory continues to build on the foundation he and his grandfather established, proudly serving homeowners, landscape contractors, builders, schools, athletic facilities, and businesses throughout Georgia. While our farm has changed from cattle to turf, the values that guide us have remained the same: quality and treating every customer like family.
